after many months

you wrote me this note

which said

when composing a poem

there is a line 

i have to write

rewrite rephrase

until i find

i’ve written it twice

i take the double line away

and then i write

the one that is not there

i’m sending this poem to you

since only you

can read that line

 

so i read and read

until i could read

the line

that was not there

 

and you were there
